Do you open an app to check in every morning, clear your background apps at noon, and switch your phone to silent before leaving work? These fixed daily routines can work like an alarm clock — they run on their own.
What is a scheduled task?
A scheduled task is simply setting "when" and "what to do" in advance. At that moment, the phone completes it for you.
It differs from an alarm: an alarm only reminds you, while a scheduled task actually does the job — it runs at the set time, without you touching anything.
Which tasks fit a schedule?
The test is simple: do you do the same thing at the same time every day (or every week)? If yes, it fits.
- Daily check-in: open the app and tap check-in.
- Background cleanup at a fixed hour: one-tap clear of apps you don't need.
- Silent mode before you leave work: flip to silent at a set time.
Set up your first scheduled task in three steps
- Step 1: do the task manually once so AI can record it.
- Step 2: choose "Schedule" in the task and set the time — for example, 08:00 daily.
- Step 3: save. It runs automatically from then on; you can pause or delete it anytime.
A few tips
- Pick times that don't clash with your phone use — no ringing tasks mid-meeting.
- Run it manually once before trusting it on a timer.
- If a task fails, you'll be notified — it won't silently break.
💡 Start with the lightest task, like a daily check-in, and scale up once it's running smoothly.
